Land Data

Land Data is a Community Interest Company appointed by government to manage and regulate the National Land Information Service (NLIS) and its contracts. This makes NLIS the only regulated electronic land and property searches portal and the official gateway to every local authority in England and Wales.

Land Data’s mission is to improve and speed up housing transactions. It does this by working closely with a range of government and industry partners to advise, educate and promote the use of authoritative data and, specifically, local authority searches. Land Data plays a key convening role for local authority Local Land Charges Officers, delivering the only training courses for the profession, managing the annual LLC Training & Development Event with the LLCI, hosting a dedicated online forum, and running the Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence.
